Dear
The Georgia Association of School Psychologists (GASP) holds a
Silent Auction annually as a statewide service project, and we are
writing to request a special item from your inventory to be
auctioned in our upcoming auction. Each of the 10 regions solicits
items for the auction, and the region with the greatest proceeds
selects a non-profit organization to present the profits of the
auction. Additional items are solicited from companies such as
yours to increase our receipts from the auction. 100% of the
proceeds are presented to the organization. Some of our former
recipients include the Brain Tumor Foundation, Prevent Child Abuse
Organization, the Special Olympics of Georgia, and the Sickle Cell
Organization. Additionally, you will receive a “thank you” in our
GASP publication the Dialogue.
Our next Silent Auction will be held in conjunction with our
Spring Conference, scheduled for April 23-25, 2007 at the Sea
Palms Resort on St. Simons Island, Georgia. We would really
appreciate you considering donating an item for inclusion in the
auction. If you are willing to assist, you may contact
John.Poidevant@Cherokee.k12.ga.us or Beverly.Dwight@cherokee.k12.ga.us
The items can be sent to: John Poidevant at 503 Wintergreen Way,
Canton, GA 30115 or Beverly Dwight, 5141 Millwood Drive, Canton,
GA 30114.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to assist an
organization dedicated to helping children.
Sincerely,
John Poidevant, Ph.D.
Beverly Dwight, Ed.S.

The
Silent Auction is our annual public service project held during
the GASP Spring Conference.

Since Region 4 was the highest donation earner, they selected Starlight
Starbright Children's Foundation as the recipient of the cash donation
with Executive Director, Beverly Losman accepting the award. She is
accompanied by Laura Ryan, Region 4 Rep and Carol Kennon, GASP President.
