Procedures for PLU/ CE/ CPD Credits through GASP
- You must be a GASP member.
No credits will be entered if your membership is not current!!
- If you attend GASP or NASP sponsored workshop or conferences, you simply submit
the attendance verification form for these activities. At GASP Fall or Spring conferences,
attendance forms with sessions, times, and dates are provided. For other activities, you
must fill in the requested information on the blank attendance form. All attendance
verification forms must be submitted to the GASP Staff Development Chairperson within
one week of the activity. Information submitted later than one week will NOT
be added to your file. Be sure to sign in at each GASP session attended!
- For other activities which are not GASP sponsored, you must get the Staff
Development Chair to approve the activity for SDU credit BEFORE you attend. Approval can
be requested by sending a copy of the flyer or agenda to the chair and
the PRIOR APPROVAL FORM to the chair. Within one week after
the session, you must send an attendance verification form and documentation (receipt,
certificate of attendance, etc.)
- Approximately 2 months prior to your GA certification expiration,
You need to request that a Professional Learning Unit form be generated and mailed to you.
(Request for SDU/CPD/CE Form)
This is the form you can give to your local staff development coordinator
for use in recertification. The
coordinator will use this form to complete a Form 224, transcript of staff development
units for submission to the state PSC.
PLEASE NOTE: GASP does not mail any forms directly to the State Department for recertification.
- If you are not employed by a public school system, the GASP
Professional Learning
Chair can help you complete your Form 224 (transcript), but you must contact the chair and request
this at the time you are applying for recertification.
- Twice yearly, GASP will provide a Skills Update Form showing a list of all
credits you currently have in the database. These forms will typically be given out at
Fall and Spring Conferences, or mailed to those who do not attend the conferences. These
forms should be checked to ensure accuracy and corrected if needed. You do not have to
return these forms unless a correction is necessary.
- At any time, if you need a print out of your hours earned through GASP, or if you
need a SDU Completion Form prior to your certification expiration date, you may request
the information using the Request for PLU/CPD/CE Form. You
should include a self addressed, stamped envelope and mail the request to
